bibury/bourton-on-the-water/stow-on-the-wold/cirencester/fairford/tetbury, plus try all the villages near them. most of them are old wool trade towns. they all have there probs but not as bad as stroud. they shut the police station in cirencaster & moved it there,

Very nice, but Windsor is not in the Cotswolds. Nor is “Sailsbury” (or even Salisbury), Stonehenge or Avebury. All very nice places, nonetheless.
